The Omaha Service Squad knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but more importantly through our actions. In June 2018, our founder, Katelyn, realized that there was a need for someone to organize volunteer opportunities for community members, which is why she ultimately decided to create the Omaha Service Squad.

Keep Omaha Beautiful is an organization that provides us with the materials to clean up public areas!

HEARTLAND HOPE MISSION FOOD PANTRY

Feeding the Community

We love going to the food pantry to help organize and distribute food and clothing to those in need.

SIENNA FRANCIS HOUSE

Serving Brunch

We really enjoyed serving brunch to the people at the Sienna Francis House.

PROJECT LINUS

Making Blankets for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, etc.

We go to this event twice a year, and love that we can have some of our younger members attend!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Building Houses and the ReStore

Habitat for Humanity has given us the chance to help build houses in the community. They also have the "ReStore" where we have helped sort donations for them to sell, which raises money to build more houses!

OPEN DOOR MISSION

Project Santa and Donation Sorting

We have helped at several of the Open Door Mission location. Our favorite event is helping with Project Santa- we help parents pick out presents for their kids for Christmas! We also help with sorting incoming donations.
